Since 1960, the Cervia thermal baths are immersed in the natural park, in a unique setting, near the saltpan, a source of salt, water and mud with curative properties. In fact, the salt pans yield the salso-bromo-iodine mother water and the thermal muds. In the large thermal pool, the temperature of the saline water is 33°C.

In Cervia, integral sea salt known as 'White Gold' has been produced here since ancient times, the processing and export of which marked the history and economy of the city for centuries. Today, the only saltpan that has maintained the artisanal processing method is the Camillone Saltpan, which can be visited at the Cervia Saltpan Visitor Centre via nature, production and historical itineraries, on foot or by boat.
